Bent Creek Golf Club is pleased to announce that is accepting applications for the 2011 golf season for junior memberships. The fee for an annual junior membership is $1,000.00 including all applicable taxes. The membership fee must be submitted with the application. Prior to acceptance of the junior membership application, the parent/legal guardian and the junior must make arrangements to meet with the General Manager and/or Head Golf Professional of the Club for an orientation of the Club rules and policies.

To qualify for a junior membership, an applicant must be at least twelve years of age and less than twenty-two years of age and living at home or attending a post secondary accredited school The applicant’s parent or legal guardian must sign the application agreeing to the terms thereof and accepting financial responsibility for any charges incurred by the junior member and for any damages caused by the junior member. Parents/legal guardians may ask the Club to restrict charging privileges for the junior member.

Bent Creek reserves the right to prohibit any junior player from using the Club facilities for violations of any Club policy. To reinstate, the junior and parent must meet with the General Manager and Golf Professional and resolve the issues to the Club’s satisfaction. If reinstatement is not permitted, the entire junior membership fee is forfeit.

Junior members are not eligible to participate in regular member events unless prior approval is given by the Head Golf Professional. Juniors are not allowed to play in five-somes unless accompanied by at least one adult member. 

JUNIOR HOURS:
Junior members are allowed to make tee times subject to the following schedule unless prior permission is granted by the Head Golf Professional:

Monday:	Anytime (except during outside events)
Tuesday:	Open until 4:00pm
Wednesday:	Open until 11:00am & after 5:00pm
Thursday:	After 2:00pm
Friday:	Open until 11:00am & after 5:00pm
Saturday, Sunday,  & Holidays:	After 11:00am

The 2011 Bent Creek Junior Golf Camp has a new schedule and format! The junior camp will now run a week long, instead of the previous six week program in years past. Having the camp run in five consecutive days (Monday-Friday) ensures that all our junior golfers will learn and retain the information provided in the camp, and have a better understanding of the game of golf. For your convenience we have scheduled 3 camps throughout the summer. They are: June 20 -24, July 18-22, and August 1-5. Within each week we will have two sessions, one from 9:00-10:30 and the other from 2:00-3:30. Cost for the week long camp is $130 for members and $150 for non-members. JUNIOR LEAGUE:
Ask any golfer if they could change one thing about their golf experiences and you'll hear the same thing over and over - "I wish I would have started at an earlier age". The sad fact is that there just are not many kid-friendly places to play. Many courses are too difficult, too crowded, and too intimidating for a young player to have a good experience. Not so at Bent Creek Golf Club. We promote the best aspects of the game - fun, sportsmanship, integrity, rules, and respect for the game and other players. Every Tuesday beginning in June from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. there is a block of tee times set aside for juniors to play. Bent Creek will pair up groups that lack partners or juniors may put their own groups together. Each junior will be asked to pass a short oral and playing ability test in order to play during these times. After successful completion of these tests, a junior will have access to League Play.

MGA JUNIOR CITY LEAGUE:
Bent Creek also participates in the MGA Junior City League. The MGA Junior City League is a team competition between 8 local area clubs. The top team in each division advance to the sectional championship for rights to advance to the state championship. Junior city league is open to any current Bent Creek junior member. There may be a need to hold a qualifier each week if demand is high enough. Please inquire in the Golf Shop for further details.

JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:
The Junior Club Championship will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 26 and 27th. It is open to children of all ages who have not yet started college. You must be a member of the Club to compete. There is a boys and girls division and based on participation and possibly age divisions.
